Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a historically African American Greek-lettered sorority founded on November 12, 1922, at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana, by seven educators. It is the only NPHC sorority established at a predominantly white campus and focuses on community service, education, and leadership development with the motto "Greater Service, Greater Progress".
