The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is a public HBCU (historically Black university) in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Founded in the year 1873, it is the second- oldest public university in Arkansas and the sole HBCU in the state. Being an 1890 land- grant institution, UAPB is focused on research, teaching, and community outreach- especially is areas such as: agriculture, aquaculture, teacher education, and STEM.
